Spot Tips

When a spot or stain occurs. you MUST ACT QUICKLY! The longer a spot or stain remains in the fabric or carpeting, the harder it will be to get out.

  • Use clean white towels to blot the stain and absorb as much liquid or scrape up as much solid material as possible.
  • Apply the appropriate "homemade spot remover" as directed for each type of stain.
  • Always try to clean the spot from the outside in, working toward its center.
  • Repeat steps, if necessary, and always blot between steps with a clean white towel to absorb as much moisture as possible.
A Few Words of Caution: ALWAYS DO A TEST SPOT REMOVAL on a portion of carpet that is not normally visible; Be careful not to over wet the area; and, NEVER USE BLEACH.

How to Mix “Homemade Spot Removers”

  • Dish Detergent Solution: One teaspoon mild dish detergent to one cup water.
